An overview of the Major Awards Belgian Koi Show 2026.
In the new venue for the Belgian Koi Show 2026 one strong field of competitors entered. Prominent players were missing from both dealer and hobbyist, but nothing was given away in the filled show vats at this Koi Show in Belgium. In this article you will find the Major Awards that we photographed for contemporary history. I still think it is so cool; to find me together with my 17 year old son as a photographer at the competition barrels.
They are really proud moments, but it is also irritating; more and more often he has the better picture than me. 😉 He has now outgrown the old Legacy Canon and is now working with a new Sony. I think it is important that he learns to work with several brands and doesn’t immediately get stuck with one type of camera. He still picks that up easily now.
Because of this duo capacity we are now often able to capture the Best in Varieties and Best in Sizes in addition to the Majors. Wim de Wit managed to prolong his title with his Sanke from the Sakai stables. She won it from Miss Magnum, a multi-awarded Kohaku from Sakai owned by hobbyist Filip Poppe.
