Jury structure and awarding of majors at the show<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

The awarding of regular majors<\/i> takes place under the direction of chief judges Ruud Besems and Ronald Stam, on behalf of the APKI jury. This jury consists largely of experts from Indonesia, a country where the koi hobby is at a particularly high level. The judges involved take several days to carefully evaluate each entry and fish by fish. <\/p>\n

In addition to the regular awards, Breeders Majors<\/i> are also awarded. These special awards are determined not by the regular judges, but by leading koi breeders themselves. Each Breeders Major<\/i> is awarded by one specific breeder. This year, renowned names such as Yagenji, Odakan and Sakai Fish Farm<\/abbr>, as well as representatives of leading breeders from China and Poland are among those involved.
