The fish is growing considerably, but is not the giant among the gosanke<\/abbr> at the show; nevertheless, she manages to take the highest honor and no visitor disagrees. The quality splashes off with one beautiful Maruzome Kiwa<\/abbr>. That really stood out for me. The pattern is super on the Koi, that too, but the Beni<\/abbr> is also intense and all in all this two-color from Ogata is of a dazzling quality. Pascal bought the fish as a nisai<\/abbr> at Ogata’s auction. <\/p>\n

Pascal Vandercammen bought the fish as nisai<\/abbr> at auction and is now only sansai<\/abbr>. So there is still a lot to expect from this young Ogata Kohaku<\/abbr> and to my knowledge it is the youngest Grand Champion<\/abbr> Koi at a non-Young Koi Show in Europe. The shiroji<\/abbr> of the fish is also particularly beautiful and strong. Would this Koi get much better as she grows another two or three years or will she be right over the top by then? We leave that up to Pascal; for now he can enjoy his victory. Congratulations also go out to Filip Saerens from Filips Koi Shop in Belgium, who is responsible for handling the Koi. <\/p>\n

We already knew Pascal Vandercammen from the Euregio Koi Show where we interviewed him when he also won The Grand Champion<\/abbr> title. This makes it his third Grand Champion<\/abbr> award as a hobbyist. In Affligem the breeder was Sakai Fish Farm<\/abbr>, now it is Ogata. At another Koi Show in France last year he won his first Grand Champion<\/abbr>. On purpose, he had brought for this show other fish that had not been swimming in Affligem. He shows that he has a broad quality as a hobbyist and is able to show his fish in good shape both at the beginning of the season and at the end of the season. <\/p>\n
