The 2023 ZNA Belgian Koi Show is one of the most exciting Nishikigoi competitions I am looking forward to this year! And I am excited to be a part of it. I have been invited to be part of the benching team and of course for the photos and coverage. It is always a pleasure to be at the barrel with Joachim Clement and to share our passion for Koi with others.

The ZNA Belgian Koi Show 2023 will be organized by the Belgian Koi Society and the Koi2000, creating a unique synergy between Belgium and the Netherlands. The Koi2000 Society, where I myself started as an author, has been quiet in recent years, however with new momentum in the boardroom, positivity has returned and after exploring a partnership with the NVN, a partner has been found in the southern neighbors. The event will take place next weekend on April 21 and 22 at the Culture Hall Bekkelkouter Affligem in Belgium. It is an event that every Koi enthusiast should attend who is somewhat able.
Record of vats
The 2023 ZNA Belgian Koi Show will feature a record number of fixed with high-quality Koi, said Dirk de Witte, president of the Belgian association. These will be judged by an international panel of experts. It is a challenge to determine which Koi will win the prizes, but the judges who come under ZNA rules to judge have gone through years of training to do so.
Benching
As a member of the benching team, I will help classify all Koi into the proper class so that they have a fair chance to win. I am honored to take on this responsible task and look forward to working with my colleagues to make sure everything runs smoothly.

International title fight
One of the most exciting aspects of the 2023 ZNA Belgian Koi Show is the battle for the Grand Champion. This award is given to the best Koi of the show, and it is always an exciting and thrilling experience to see who will walk away with the prize. I already have some inside information that Koi will appear that would not be out of place in Japan. I expect Filip Poppe who will want to defend his title, but also competition from the Netherlands and maybe even France. I have high expectations that it will be a really intense judging over there in Belgium. Will it be a battle of the titans as of old?
Scholarship
But there is more to see and experience at the ZNA Belgian Koi Show 2023 than just the Koi show. There are many booths and vendors offering Koi and Koi-related products, and it is a great opportunity to network with other Koi enthusiasts and professionals. The whole show is covered and although again at a new location, I am convinced that the team with all their experience and both. associations with combined efforts will make it a great show.
